Altar for Kwanzaa at the National Museum of American History (1997)

The African items used in this altar include a large gourd from Kenya, a Nigerian indigo cloth, Ghanaian Kente cloths, a rust-colored Mud cloth from Mali (Fulani), textiles from Zaire (Kuba) and from Ivory Coast (Senufo).
